View from the Loo

Bed with white comforter and teal blanket, grey carpet, dark blue curtains, view outside, sunny, garden boxes with lettuce variety and lemon tree

First, where does the word loo come from?

Loo. Despite being a very British word for toilet, 'loo' is actually derived from the French phrase 'guardez l'eau', which means 'watch out for the water'.

There you have it, toilet history 101!

Now, I am fortunate to have a pretty good view from our loo. To the left, out the shower, I can get the weather forecast so I know what to wear for the day. Depending on the lean of the Italian cypress, I know if it’s windy or not.

Out our bedroom slider, I can catch a glimpse of our garden boxes and see our happy little veggies growing big and strong. Currently, we have arugula, red leaf lettuce, romaine and spinach all doing very well - all excellent sources of fiber.

And we know fiber is very important to our daily diet. In fact, regular fiber intake will have you visiting the loo on a consistent basis. Always good to keep those insides moving.

So tell me, what’s the view from your loo?
